Jarod Thompson is Senior Director of Product Management & Strategic Initiatives at CyberMaxx, where he helps shape the product strategy and strategic direction behind the company’s managed detection and response (MDR) services and cybersecurity capabilities.

With more than two decades in enterprise technology, Jarod has built his career at the intersection of cybersecurity, product, engineering, and customer experience. Prior to CyberMaxx, he held leadership roles at F5 and Threat Stack, leading security solutions engineering and post-sales organizations, and earlier managed product support organizations at Capgemini, Leidos, and Lockheed Martin.

Jarod brings a practitioner’s perspective to product strategy, combining hands-on technical experience with an understanding of the operational, customer, and business challenges security organizations face. His experience spans security operations, threat detection and response, SIEM and security data platforms, cloud and endpoint security, solution engineering, service delivery, and the operational realities of running a 24/7 SOC.

At CyberMaxx, Jarod works across Product, Engineering, Security Operations, Sales, and Customer teams to identify emerging opportunities, develop new capabilities, and turn customer and market needs into scalable cybersecurity offerings. His work includes product and service strategy, MDR and SOC evolution, security technology, go-to-market strategy, service packaging, and strategic initiatives designed to improve both security outcomes and customer value.

Jarod is especially interested in how AI is reshaping cybersecurity and security operations, from detection engineering and alert triage to investigation and response workflows, and in helping security leaders separate meaningful capabilities from industry hype. His work explores cybersecurity innovation, modern security operations, emerging technologies, and practical approaches organizations can use to reduce risk while getting greater value from their security investments.
